Durability of Building Materials and Components: Proceedings of the Fifth International Conference Held in Brighton, UK, 7-9 November 1990

Building owners and designers are increasingly becoming aware of the importance of durability in building design, particularly because of continuing pressure to reduce life-cycle costs of buildings. Current research into building materials seeks to expand and improve present understanding of the causes, mechanisms and rates of deterioration of building materials. Reliable means of repair and prevention of early materials failure are also urgently required.
