About the author (2001)

Aryya Gangopadhyay is a professor and the chair of the department information systems at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Dr. Gangopadhyay has a PhD degree in computer information systems from Rutgers University. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on privacy preserving data mining, data mining in medicine, data stream mining and navigating multi-dimensional databases. Dr. Gangopadhyay He has also co-authored and edited six books and he has received funding from NSF, US Department of Education, state and government agencies and private industries. [Editor]
