This is a compilation of abolitionist writings put together by the indomitable James Redpath. James actually connected John Brown with the man who helped with military training and also with his financial backers. This book was took the John Brown Brand from killer to Christ-like personage. This was the book that described the gallows as the cross. It was an incredible time they lived in, on the verge of a civil war, and these individuals stood and were counted on the side of humanity.
