And from thence continued by feveral Prorogations to the twentieth day of November, one thousand even hundred and ninety-five, being the fourth Seffion of the firft Provincial Parliament of LOWER-CANADA. CA P. I. AN ACT to declare and afcertain the Period when the Acts of the Provincial Parliament of this Province fhall take effect. [30th. JANUARY, 1796.] WHEREAS is expion and effect, fhould be precifely afcertained, be it there HEREAS it is expedient that the period from which the Laws of this Province are fore enacted by the King's Moft. Excellent Majefly, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Legiflative Council and Affemb y of the Province of Lower-Canada, conftituted and affembled by virtue of and under the authority of an A&t paffed in the Parliament of Great Britain, intituled, "An Act to repeal certain parts of an Act paffed "in the fourteenth year of His Majesty's reign. intituled, "An Act for making more effectual "provifion for the Government of the Province of Quebec in North America and to make further provision for the Government of the faid Province," and it is hereby enacted by the Authority of the fame, that the Clerk of the Legifitive Co. ncil of this Province, fhall indorfe on every Act of the Provincial Parliament which thill hereafter pafs, iminediately after the title of fuch A&, the day, month year, when the fame fhail have paffed, and fhall have been affuted to in his Majefty's name by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor or Perfon admistering the Government.
